A Love That Was Never Meant to Be

"Some souls are bound to each other, even when the world refuses to accept them."

---

Riva's life was becoming a whirlwind of emotions she could no longer control.

Her heart ached for Aarav, the man who was supposed to be just her professor but had now become the father of the child growing inside her and... the man she secretly loved.

But love was never meant to be easy for people like her—broken and bound by circumstances.

---

Riva was sitting on her bed, staring at the scan report of her unborn baby. The little heartbeat that echoed inside her was her only solace in this world filled with judgments and rejection.

A soft knock on the door pulled her out of her thoughts.

She opened the door to find Aarav standing there, his eyes filled with warmth and guilt.

“Aarav, you shouldn’t be here,” Riva whispered, fear evident in her voice.

“I don’t care anymore,” Aarav said, stepping inside. “I’m tired of hiding my feelings, Riva. I’m tired of pretending that what we share is wrong.”

Tears welled up in Riva’s eyes. “But it is wrong. You have a wife. This baby belongs to both of you.”

“No,” Aarav interrupted. “This baby belongs to us, Riva. You and me. Not Tasha. She never wanted this child. She never wanted me.”

Riva’s heart raced. The intensity in Aarav’s eyes made it impossible for her to push him away.

---

Meanwhile, Tasha was drowning in her own frustration.

The rumors of Aarav spending time with Riva had reached her ears. The world already viewed her as a selfish woman who refused to carry her own child, and now her husband was falling for the surrogate.

Out of rage, Tasha stormed into Riva's college class the next day.

"You're nothing but a gold-digger, Riva!" Tasha yelled in front of the whole class. "You trapped my husband with this pregnancy, didn't you?"

Riva froze in shock as everyone’s eyes turned toward her.

Aarav, who was teaching in the adjacent classroom, rushed in upon hearing Tasha’s voice.

"Enough, Tasha!" Aarav shouted. "You’ve already destroyed this marriage. Don’t ruin her life too."

The entire class gasped in shock.

Tasha laughed bitterly. "You’ve already chosen her over me, haven’t you?"

Aarav stepped closer to Riva, shielding her from Tasha’s hateful gaze.

"Because she gave me what you never could... love."

---

That night, Riva sat on the rooftop of her apartment, staring at the stars with teary eyes.

Aarav joined her, silently sitting beside her.

“I never thought I’d fall in love with the man whose child I’m carrying,” Riva whispered, her voice trembling.

“I never thought I’d find love in the woman who gave me a reason to live,” Aarav replied.

Riva looked at him with pain in her eyes. “But what about this world? What about your marriage? Your reputation?”

“I don’t care about any of that anymore,” Aarav said, holding her hand. “All I care about is you… and our baby.”

---

But fate was never kind to those who dared to love against society’s rules.

When Tasha learned about Aarav’s decision to leave her, she threatened to expose Riva and destroy her future.

“I’ll make sure the world knows she carried this baby for money,” Tasha spat venomously. “And I’ll take this baby away from her the moment it’s born.”

Aarav’s blood boiled in rage. “You’ve already lost me, Tasha. Don’t force me to fight you in court.”

---

Riva, on the other hand, was breaking from within.

She couldn't allow Aarav to lose everything because of her.

That night, she packed her belongings and left the city without informing anyone.

She left behind the man she loved and the child who was never meant to be hers.

---

When Aarav found out, he was shattered.

He searched for Riva everywhere, but she was nowhere to be found.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months.

And when the day of delivery arrived, Riva gave birth to a beautiful baby girl—alone, in a small hospital far from the city.

She held the baby close to her chest and whispered, “You were created out of love, my little one. Even if I can’t be with you, I’ll always love you.”

With tears streaming down her face, Riva handed the baby over to the nurse.

“Send her to her father,” she said, her voice breaking.

---

Aarav received the news of his daughter’s birth but was devastated to learn that Riva had disappeared once again.

Holding his baby girl in his arms, he made a silent promise.

“I’ll find you, Riva. No matter how far you run, I’ll find you. Because we are bound by fate.”
